We highly recommend… (part 2)

Fluffy on a Flying Broom by Višnja Anić

The book I've just read is about a boy who is going through many fun, interesting, and magical adventures. The book consists of 28 short stories in English and Croatian. Ok, let me make it clear. On one page there is a story in English and on the other one, there is the same story but translated into Croatian. Also, after three stories there are two pages of tasks and questions about the stories so you can check how well you read them (just don’t write in a book if you borrowed it from the library). I would recommend this book to younger readers, even though it was fun for me as well!

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne

I have recently read a book about a crew that begins the underwater search for the mysterious creature. The captain of the submarine, called Nemo ('Nobody' in Latin), is a heartless man that renounces his people and land. He and his crew travel over nine months and circle around the entire globe including the ancient city of Atlantis. I like this book because it has a lot of interesting stories considering its length. Once you start reading this book, you can’t get stop reading until you finish it.

Tom Swift and His Rocket Ship by Victor Appleton II

This book has really surprised me! It focuses on an 18-year-old boy who is a genius! He has made everything, from a giant robot to an atomic Earth blaster! The book really pulls you in and gets you to keep on reading, and when you finish- it leaves you thirsty for more. The language is a tad bit more complex, but if you know English, that shouldn’t be too big of a problem. This book isn’t the first in the series so I recommend reading the previous installments before reading this one because things can get confusing if you don’t. I feel really inspired by Tom Swift, so I would recommend 'his books' to every young reader.
