On 21st December 2021 a group of 7th graders had a visit from Steve Tsentserensky. The entire lesson was in English. Steve is a copywriter and photographer from Cleveland, Ohio. He moved to Croatia last year as a digital nomad and doesn't speak much Croatian. Steve told us some interesting facts about 'The Buckeye State' and some tips on what to do there if we decide to visit. We had a lot of questions about his life in the States, his work and what he likes about Croatia. He told us about the amazing food there is in New York and that he loves Slavonian cuisine too. One day when he leaves our country, he will miss 'sarma' and talking for hours over a cup of coffee. At the end of the lesson, Steve prepared a small quiz about the USA that was fun, but difficult. We learned a lot of interesting facts in just one hour. Nobody knew that eight US presidents were from Ohio, and that a famous basketball star, LeBron James, was born in Ohio. All in all, the time passed very quickly.
